Dr. Viola Sallay

Chartered psychologist,
Habilitated associate professor Department of Clinical, Health and Personality Psychology

Graduated from ELTE in 2005, obtained her PhD degree in 2014. She obtained a specialist degree in applied health psychology at the University of Szeged in 2017 and a specialist degree in psychotherapy at the University of Szeged in 2023.  Trainer in Systemic Family Therapy (candidate, Hungarian Family Therapy Association).

Together with Dr. Tamás Martos, she is the founder of the Relational Science Research Lab.

Research interests

 

  •  the application of qualitative methodology in psychological research

  •  the application of experience mapping in qualitative research

  •  the role of home, workplace and other personally significant places in processes of emotional self-regulation and personal niche creation

  • systemic research on parenting, mobility and personal niche creation

  • and the relationship between family and couple functioning (dyadic coping, shared personal goals) and physical and psychological well-being
